Interview today

I had my first (hopefully not only) interview for next year. I think that it went okay. It was rescheduled and stuff, so I was a little down about it. I found the place fine, and the woman I interviewed was really nice. I had to do a mini-lesson with a sixth grade class. She gave me a worksheet and the English book and basically just said, "Go for it." I had twenty minutes to prepare and had to teach twenty minutes. I think I did well. The woman told me that the principal walked past at one point and she told the principal that it was like a completely different class, because everyone was so lively and engaged. So that's good.

I had to teach about different kinds of pronouns. I had to relearn them, and I bs-ed a lot of it. I don't think she noticed though, which is good. Overall, it ended up good. If the principal likes me, I have to go in for like two more interviews before I know anything though. Man, that's annoying.

Anyway, one down, probably many more to go. At least I got home before the rain, and there's a new Criminal Minds on tonight. I've earned it.
